Uganda, a popular alter-native nightlife hub in Jerusalem and second home to many local musicians and DJs, features a music-comics-book store and a variety of performances
Hosting a variety of performances by small local and international bands and serving freshly prepared Jerusalemite homemade humus alongside Tybeh beer on the tap, Uganda is a home away from home for many musically inclined Jerusalemites. The place also makes quite an impression on tourists, with its cozy and very simple indoors and the impressive selection of vinyl records it holds in its music store (you can check out the records they currently hold in the shop via Uganda’s website). The place enjoys a laidback atmosphere and a loyal clientele who come to chat with the music savvy bar workers and take a look and the new acquisitions. The place opens at lunchtime, extending its nightlife role and making it a nice place to stop off for a coffee or an early beer and stock up on some little known graphic novels or newly-arrived secondhand records.
In short: A laidback nightlife music oriented bar that attracts a crowd of “hipster” students, alternative musicians and other Jerusalemites, offering them various forms of musical and cultural pleasure
