The Yellow Submarine was opened in 1991 and has since become one of the most important places in the Jerusalem music scene. Besides hosting a wide selection of performances from Israel and abroad in an amazingly wide variety of musical genres, the Yellow Submarine also has an excellent sound school and offers plenty of support to young musicians in Jerusalem (including a special label). The performances at the Yellow Submarine include rock, jazz, hip-hop, Israeli music, and any other genre that comes to mind. Some of the performances turn into full-fledged parties and there are also some nights when DJs take charge of the space.
