Located half way between the Old City of Jerusalem and the modern city center, The Agron Youth Hostel is a good and solid budget option

Offering a variety of lodging option, the Agron Youth Hostel, part of the National Youth Hostel Organization, is a very convenient choice, especially for groups seeking budget accommodation with large meeting and lecture halls and spacious common areas. You couldn’t use the word charming or appealing to describe this accommodation. “Sensible”, “convenient”, “practical” and “inexpensive” might be a little more apt to give a sense of the place. The rooms have air-conditioning, private bathrooms and a TV, and are decorated with exceeding simplicity. There is a large convention center that offers audiovisual equipment and an auditorium for up to 150 people. The Old City, Yemin Moshe neighbourhood and the Center of Town are all within easy walking distance and the green Independence Park is just outside. Make sure to check the reception hours, as they are not 24h.

In short:
A sensible budget option that may not possess any unique charm but will not impose any unpleasant surprises.
