Possibly one the most well-known Falafel stands in Jerusalem and certainly one of the favorites, Shalom Falafel is a Jerusalemite Mecca of street-food
As you might have guessed by the name, what you eat at Shalom Falafel is falafel. However these are not just any crispy chickpea patties served in pita bread with freshly cut vegetables, tahini and pickles, these are some of the best falafel patties you can eat in Israel. This tiny little stand, located on the major road leading into the center of Jerusalem, caters a wide variety of loyal customers who order their fix of falafel either in a regular-sized fresh pita or in a large and flat pitta-bread known as laffa (or lafa). Unch time can get busy, but the queue usually moves along fast enough.
In short:
A legendary falafel stand that has been serving spicy falafel patties for over two generations
