The Underwater Observatory in Eilat offers visitors a unique in-depth undersea experience and introduces them to the Red Sea’s underwater life
Aquariums filled with fish and corals, windows looking out into the depths of the Red Sea, turtles, stingrays, sharks, rare fish and other intriguing marine animals can all be observed in this unique Eilat attraction, which both children and adults will thoroughly enjoy. The Underwater Observatory has been open for many years now, but the place continually innovates the displays featured to live up to modern standards and occasionally adds a temporary display to the selection that offers a glimpse into a different kind of aquatic habitat.
The animals of the observatory are fed in different hours of the day, giving visitors a chance to see the animals in action, an especially exciting experience when it comes to the sharks, which are fed by a diver inside their pool (!). Besides these various displays, you can also take a ride on the Coral 2000 (at an extra fee) a glass-bottom boat that takes you on a genuine natural experience in the Eilat bay. Last but not least, the Underwater Observatory also screens underwater films in a special movie hall that has chairs the turn180 degrees.
In short: An excellent, educational and captivating experience that will enchant children and adults alike.
