The Dolphin Reef Featured

Perhaps one of the most famous attractions in Eilat, the Dolphin Reef is a charming place where people can come in close contact with some of the most amazing creatures on earth and enjoy a serene swim

Second in their intelligence only to man (or third after chimps), dolphins are indeed miraculous creatures that have charmed human beings for ions. The Dolphin Reef is a place where visitors can learn to know more about these fascinating creatures, whether by watching them from the decks stretching into the waters, taking a swim in the water with the dolphins or diving with them and meeting them face to face.

This experience is truly unique because it allows visitors to see the dolphins in their natural habitat (rather than tiny pools unfit for the dolphins need for space). The managers assure that human contact is not imposed upon the dolphins – the dolphins are free to approach the people visiting the site or to avoid contact and remain in their group if they please. This means you may not get to see as much of the dolphins as you’d like, but it seems only fair that these by the rules, if these animals are indeed to be held captive.

Swimming sessions are conducted in groups and take place between 9:00-15:00. It is essential to book in advance (NIS 280; children must be over 10).

Intro dives with an experienced diving instructor are also available (NIS 320; children must be over 8).

The place also holds special therapy programs for children and adolescents who suffer from a wide variety of disabilities and traumas. It seems that the work with the dolphins can truly do wonders.

Relaxation Pools

Dolphin Reef Relaxation PoolsAt the very center of the Dolphin Reef, visitors can enjoy a truly unique and very relaxing experience. Set in beautiful surroundings, three unique pools are open to a limited number of visitors in morning and night sessions. The first pool is simply a deep sea water pool; the second pool is a rainwater pool where you’ll find devices that will help you float and enjoy underwater music; the third pool is a salt pool in which your body will feel as light as air (and after you rub your skin with the salt your skin will also feel supple and soft). Three instructors move between the three pools offering short yet relaxing therapy sessions to the bathers.

Outside these wonderful pools, guests can enjoy the elevated long balcony that stretches into the sea, offering beautiful views, and enjoy the fresh fruits, nuts, teas and wines offered on premises.

In short:
A unique and incredibly relaxing experience.

Price: NIS 150-180 pp for two hours; the pools will admit only people over 18.
